Donald and Mary Ellen Passantino Students with Disabilities Scholarship

Award Amount: $1000
Minimum GPA: 2.5
In 2003, the University Student Senate of the City University of New York established the
Donald & Mary Ellen Passantino Scholarship. The scholarship later became two different
scholarships, one of which has been called the Donald and Mary Ellen Passantino Students with
Disabilities Scholarship since 2010. One student per CUNY campus, per academic year, is
recognized for demonstrating outstanding scholarship, enthusiastic leadership, and a
commitment to service under extraordinary circumstances.

Award Amount: $1000
Minimum GPA: 2.5

Graduate Peer Mentoring Scholarship

Award Amount: $1000
Minimum GPA: 3.0
In 2013, the University Student Senate of the City University of New York established the
Graduate Peer Mentoring Scholarship. One student per campus, per academic year, is recognized
for demonstrating a tremendous effort to help other graduate students through academic support,
professional development, and leadership development within their college community.

Ernesto Malave Merit Scholarship

Award Amount: $1500
Minimum GPA: 3.5
The USS Merit Scholarship was established in 1995 by the University Student Senate of the City
University of New York and was then renamed the Ernesto Malave Merit Scholarship in 2010.
One student per CUNY campus, per academic year, is awarded for demonstrating outstanding
academic and leadership performance under extraordinary circumstances.
